Alliance for Cancer Prevention responds to new research on the causes of cancer

Scottish Hazards is an active part of the Alliance for Cancer Prevention.  The Alliance has issued a press release in response to new research which fails to recognise the extent and importance of environmental and occupational causes of cancer to to press for action to elimate them. Scottish Affairs Select Committee Inquiry into Health and Safety

The House of Commons Scottish Affairs Select Committee is conducting a formal inquiry into Health and Safety in Scotland. 

The Scottish Hazards Campaign has submitted written evidence to the Committee and asked to present oral evidence to the Committee.  To see our written submission, click here.

Scottish Hazards Conference 2011

Good Health, Good Work - Vocational Rehabilitation; Community of Practice

Following work between NHS Education for Scotland (NES) and the STUC a community of practice has now been set up called “Good Work, Good Health – Vocational Rehabilitation”. This has been designed to allow all those interested in vocational rehabilitation, health professionals, trade unions and other interested parties to share ideas and experiences on vocational rehabilitation but also to learn from each others expertise.

Scottish Election 2011

In the run up to the election in May, the Scottish Hazards Campaign has produced a paper putting forward our priorities for action for the Scottish Parliament.  This paper has gone to all the political parties and we have asked them to support these priorities and to give us a statement on them.
